Is apologetics only for super-Christians? Nope, it’s for everyday believers like you and me.
Jason provides an overview of the concept of apologetics, followed by a discussion of various tools and practices you can incorporate into your weekly routine to prepare you and your kids to defend your faith in everyday life.
One day your kids will no longer be under your protective care and will be facing the full force of the world’s attacks on their beliefs. This workshop will help you prepare them both to stand firm and to train others to do the same.
Part software engineer, part speech and debate coach, Jason Gatesfounded the New Mexico Forensics Club to train homeschoolers in the skills that are necessary to fostering open and honest dialogue – the ability to: communicate your views in an eloquent, effective, winsome, and gracious manner; boldly persuade others and motivate them to action; know exactly what it is you believe and why you believe it; think critically, research, analyze, and draw well-reasoned conclusions; ask probing questions to dig beneath the surface to the root of the issue; etc.
He offers workshops and seminars throughout the year to pass the skill-building activities we do in our club meetings on to parents, so you can incorporate them into your regular family activities.
Jason and his wife, Hannah, homeschool their five children in Albuquerque.
