Dear Friends of CAPE,
We need your help. Our income was down and expenses were up, resulting in a shortfall of over $17,000 last fiscal year. As a non-profit organization, run exclusively by volunteers, we have felt the rising costs of printing, travel expenses, speaker and convention facility costs, and now, we are reaching out to our friends and asking that you prayerfully consider helping CAPE with a donation.
With decreasing income from membership, convention attendance and recording sales, we have been forced to make some changes in our operations going forward:
1. We are eliminating the print magazine for the rest of 2017 (it will be available in electronic format online). If you need to sign up for CAPE emails go to http://tinyurl.com/CAPEemail .
2. We are raising our membership fee to $35 after keeping it the same for 20 years. Please visit our web site at www.cape-nm.org and make sure your membership is current.
We are prayerfully considering other cost cutting measures, as well as ways that we can increase attendance at our annual home school convention, so that we can attract the larger exhibitors and top notch speakers.
Since 1996 CAPE has been dedicated to informing, encouraging, and supporting home school families in NM. We are also committed to protecting family freedom and believe that the liberty of parents to direct the upbringing and education of their children is a fundamental right. We offer encouragement and resources to home school families through Getting Started seminars, magazines, e-mail alerts, Fall Family Retreat, and the annual home school convention. We actively monitor legislation that impacts home schooling and have developed relationships with many of our state legislators through personal contacts and through the annual “CAPE at the Capitol” event. We provide scholarships to the annual convention to those in need such as single moms, POPS (Parents of Preschoolers), and active military families.

Platinum Donors receive a full family registration to the convention, Fall Family Retreat room and board, appreciation dinner with CAPE board and available convention speakers, full convention mp3, name tag recognition, program recognition, and slide show recognition.
o Gold Donor: $1,000
Gold Donors receive a full family registration to the convention, appreciation dinner with CAPE board and available convention speakers, full convention mp3, name tag recognition, program recognition, and slide show recognition.
o Silver Donor: $500
Silver Donors receive a full family registration to the convention, full convention mp3, name tag recognition, program recognition, and slide show recognition.
o Bronze Donor: $250
Bronze Donors receive a free couple registration to the convention, full convention mp3, name tag recognition, program recognition.
o Copper Donor: $100
Copper Donors receive a free couple registration to the convention and name tag recognition.
o Other amount: $__________ any size gift will be greatly appreciated!
o Supporting Member: $35
Supporting members receive name tag recognition as well as a $20 discount for HSLDA membership.
