Runner Acceptance Form

Runner Acceptance Verification

This letter is to inform you that you have been selected to serve as a Runner for the 2024 Homeschool Convention. Our convention will be held at: LEGACY CHURCH, 7201 Central Ave. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87121.

We appreciate your willingness to serve the organizers and attendees at this year’s convention. Below is a “General Schedule” for the Runners which indicates when they need to be and where.

Below that is a link to the consent form. The first section is the Runner Responsibilities, which includes the dress and conduct codes for Runners, with a place for “click” agreement and consent for his/her child to participate as a Runner. Once the consent forms are registered, your registration will be complete, and we will contact you with any other details as we get closer to the Convention.

General Schedule: Thursday night, June 27 – Saturday evening, June 29 Thursday night – set-up – meet at 5:00 pm for a devotional, dinner, and instructions – then we help set up the conference. We usually are done around 9:00 pm.

Friday morning – meet bright & early at 6:00 am for a devotional and instructions – followed by breakfast - you will be divided into teams to help in different areas of the convention. We all work together to help vendors unload their merchandise in the exhibit hall. There will be other duties as noted in the morning meeting.

Lunches – your Runner Supervisor will let you know when you will have your lunch time. We have to stagger the lunches so that not everyone is gone all at the same time.

Friday evening – an early dinner is provided to the Runners - the workshops and exhibit hall will all be closed by 6:00 pm. We plan to have a Showcase, that is open to the public. You are welcome to come and enjoy the talent that the Lord has given these students.

Saturday morning – you get to sleep in a bit – we will meet at 7:00 am for a devotional and instructions – followed by breakfast – similar schedule to Friday for the morning and early afternoon.

Saturday evening – an early dinner is provided to the Runners – then we begin cleaning up from the convention – once the last workshop is complete, we tear-down the workshop rooms and the main hall – when the exhibit hall closes, we will help the vendors take their leftover supplies and such to their cars and clear out the hall.

And the Rewards? – Food – T-Shirt – Growing in Servanthood – Opportunity to build relationships with fellow homeschool students – Treasures in Heaven

Again, we appreciate your willingness to serve as a Runner this year. May the Lord bless you and encourage you to do everything you do as unto Him.

Sincerely, Runner Coordinator
