Convention

VOLUNTEERS We need your help. The CAPE-NM Convention is planned and run by many volunteers from across New Mexico. Please feel free to email if you can help either before or during the convention, and you will be contacted. We always need help setting up on Thursday morning and tearing down on Saturday afternoon.

CONVENTION CHAIRFAMILIES are all volunteers who serve by sacrificing time and energy to plan, organize, and produce the annual convention. It takes every member of the family to pitch in and get the job done, so we try to honor the whole family with this title. Part of the job is to recruit apprentice families to come alongside and train, so if you are interested, speak up!

VETERANS AND GRADUATED PARENTS AKA GRAD-PARENTS There are moms and dads who have graduated their families, but love to attend for the fellowship and also to keep up-to-speed on the latest trends. They are using their valuable experience to support home schooling friends and neighbors. We still have to charge registration for you to attend, unless you would like to volunteer. Remember that CAPE is a non-profit ministry and we use convention income both to pay for the convention and to support the ministry the rest of the year. If you desire to “improve your serve” with continuing education, we invite you to volunteer. We can arrange enough hours to cover the registration fee, you can attend the convention, and we reap the benefit of your experience on behalf of new, inexperienced home school families.
